Jefferson County Sheriff candidate Colleen O'Neill announced today that she has received another endorsement, this time from the Police Benevolent Association of the NY State Troopers, Inc. The endorsement in part states, "In times of economic difficulty, there is generally a corresponding increase in crime, and the PBA is confident that Colleen O’Neill will guide the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department in a direction that best provides law enforcement protection for residents."
Ms. O'Neill, who announced her candidacy in January, was very pleased to receive this endorsement. "I appreciate the State Troopers PBA recognizing my experience and work ethic and their expression of confidence in me," she said.
This is the second endorsement for Ms. O'Neill. In January she received the endorsement of the NY State Police Investigators Association.
